In an Emergency

*

We plan for the worst, and hope for the best. If in the event your pup/s require veterinary treatment my policies are outlined in the table below. Vets would be reluctant to provide treatment when presenting at their clinics by someone who is not the owner. In an emergency situation time may be of the essence and I may not be able to get hold of you immediately, (especially if you are travelling overseas). If your vet, (or my vet depending on where you live), and the triage staff at ER, is aware that your pupper/s will be in my care, that's a massive hurdle that's already overcome in the event your dog requires treatment.

*

Nobody likes going to the vet, least of all our precious pups. Unfortunately at times it's unavoidable. What do I deem necessary as worthy of a trip to a local vet (yours or mine)? Non-life-threatening injuries or conditions eg a prickle in a paw, an ear infection, that shouldn't wait until your return to be treated.

ER? This is where the trust you place in me and my experience comes into play. My first priority is the well-being of your dog. I won't hesitate if I feel your pup is in need of immediate treatment, notably life-threatening situations eg snake bite, ingestion of a foreign object. Your understanding and acceptance of this is a condition of me providing care for your precious baby.
